Case Management Support Project (CMSP)

Chab Dai’s Case Management Support Project (CMSP) began in June 2011. 

This project was established to address multiple cases received through partner referrals and the 24/7 hotline. We continue to collaborate with local police, human rights agencies, and other NGOs to ensure each case is managed, services are provided, and perpetrators are reported. 

The project also supports clients with their repatriation back to Cambodia, conducting psycho-social care, counseling, and case management support. The CMSP team has built strong cross-border networks with other NGOs and embassies in neighboring countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and China to assist Cambodians who have been abused or exploited internationally.

The project aims to fully support survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking and sexual abuse are enures they are safe and able to access restorative services.

The main goals of the project are to ensure;

  • Survivors are free and safe from initial situation of trafficking and sexual abuse, both internationally and locally.

  • Survivors can access services based on their short and long term restoration needs.

Legal Support Project (LSP)

The Legal Support Project (LSP) was established in 2017. 

This project provides legal support and justice to survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation through the Cambodian legal justice system. 

The LSP team supports legal consultation, data collation and management and represents survivors in court. The team also organizes and facilitates consultation meetings with relevant stakeholders.

The focus of the project is to provide access to legal support and justice to survivors of human trafficking and sexual abuse through the Cambodian legal justice system.

There projects main aims;

  • Survivors (and their family members) receive Chab Dai’s legal support as their case goes to trial.

  • Local police, prosecutors and the investigating Judge support Chab Dai cases through the legal justice system to reach trial stage.

  • At the trial the Judge sentences and convicts the perpetrator, according to Cambodian law.


Community-Based Client Care (CBCC)

The Community-Based Client Care (CBCC) project was established in 2016. 

After providing counseling to survivors of trafficking and exploitation directly, the team also trains counselors and social workers, in areas such as conflict resolution, family mediation, supervision and mentoring. 

The team also provides support from mental health professionals to ensure they can deliver the best care possible to their clients. This project supports survivors of sexual abuse and human trafficking to rebuild their lives, with the support of the their community. 

The project main outcomes are;

  • To improve the emotional wellbeing of survivors

  • To improve the survivors, and their families, access to the social services in their communities

  • To engage with survivors in all aspects of thei restorative journey, through their voice, including the development of our practices, policies, and strategies.
